Welcome to our Family Room!
​
The Family Room was originally founded in 2019 by Jamie and Rebecca, co-founders of the The Common Moms. Jamie and Rebecca had created a space where moms and their kiddos could play, relax and meet others alike. They put their heart and soul into this space. Many of the structures you see within the space were built by Rebecca’s late father. It was built by families for families. AC Family room is thankful for Jamie and Rebecca and honours its roots.

Flash forward to October 2022 - The Always Connected Family Room is now a hub for families to play, learn & develop. We encourage children, including those with diverse learning needs, to participate with their parents and peers through creative play and exploration. We provide parents and caregivers the opportunity to connect with others, develop skills through group opportunities, workshops and coaching, and obtain resources for various stages of parenthood. We also provide a familiar space for private parties and community get-togethers. Lastly, and perhaps the biggest inspiration for the space, The Always Connected Family Room houses therapeutic services including ABA and promotes generalization of skills through naturalistic opportunities within its setting and with other peers.

Co-owners, Sarah and Lina are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), entrepreneurs and likely the most challenging profession of all - mothers! The are the co-founders and directors of Always Connected Treatment Network, a therapeutic hub of services for children, youth and adults with diverse learning needs. Sarah and Lina strongly value community involvement, and through ACTN have organized many events for the community at large, promoting inclusivity and partnering with organizations that bring forth opportunities for marginalized populations. The AC Family Room is a creative outlet that brings together their passions for community involvement, inclusivity for children and the various journey of parenthood.
